Almshouse Stenz
image author: Lausitz Enzyklopädie
In the year 1826 the community Stenz (at that time 27 households) constructed a so-called almshouse in the middle of the village for the village's poor. This construction was a great effort for the community as 85 thaler from the community treasure was at that time a lot of money.

A warm welcome! The Heimatverein Königsbrück und Umgebung e.V. protected the little house (which was otherwise used in the meantime) from decay and restored it in painstakingly detailed work as historical testimony. Today it is bein gused as meeting room by the Heimatverein and as accommodation for the ecumenical pilgrims' way.
