The Bergbaumuseum (Mining Museum) is situated in the former briquette factory next to city gates of Hoyerswerda.

Briquettes were pressed here from 1918 to 1993.

You can experience mining from yesterday, the present and of tomorrow on 250.000qm.

A trip with the mine train for ca. 20km through Lausitz's countryside is a very special experience.
