Community Centre and Heimatstube Bröthen
image author: Lausitzer Seenland The present community centre was constructed in the year 1998. It is the centre of the social life in the village and houses the clubs and the village club and also the Heimatstube.
The Heimatstube presents testimonies of rural life for visitors as it has been for centuries at the Sorbs villages in the Lausitz region. Sorb peasant costumes, which were worn at different occasions or diverse equipment that were necessary for the work on the field and farmers households can be viewed - also utensils for spinning and weaving, for flax preparation, milk processing or bee-keeping.
One also gets insight into the once local brick production in Bröthen.
