In 515m is the spring of the Wesenitz situated, which joins near Pirna the Elbe. Here in close proximity is also the entrance to the former Goldberg mine. Above the tunnel entrance one can read the inscription "Valentin-Erb-Stollen 1752-1755". The gold digger time at the Valtenberg lasted nearly 500 years, but the yield was meagre.
