Ceramic painting - The creative hobby
image author: Petra Sinkwitz
image author: Petra Sinkwitz The production of ceramic products is one of oldest techniques in the history of humanity. The old-Greek word "Keramos" describes form consistence products made from clay.
As clay can be easily moulded and becomes very hard after baking, this material was used not only for the production of everyday objects but also for artistic and decorative forms.
As old as the ceramic production is also its design and painting.
For example old Greek vases showed the heroic action of rulers, everyday occurrences or sportive events.
