Camping Park Silbersee

If you wan to explore the holiday region Oberlausitz with your mobile home or caravan you will be pleasantly surprised how such a tight landscape can be so diverse.

One arrives from Dresden, drives over the Dresdener Heather into the  Lausitz Lakeland, in the Lausitz Heather an Lake Landscape, into the Oberlausitz Highlands or to the Germany's smallest low mountain range – the Zittauer Gebirge. There is so much to discover on this tour that one can't even begin to give a complete overview of the region.

If you arrive from the north, you start with the Lausitz Lakeland.

This time we wanted to drive to a lake that we didn't know. We read about the Silber Lake, we made a quick stop there on Ascension Day and finely made a start to the Silber Lake on Saturday afternoon. The reception was already closed when we arrived around 7pm and the barriers were down. It was a close shave we nearly had to spend the night in front of the barriers. (Please note -> the car park for day guests is subject of charges 0,50€/h)
But what would a place like this be without its permanent camper??? Herr Möller (caravan Place 1) has a key for the barrier and the electro connection. He greeted us very friendly and we were able to take our time for choosing a good place. Herr Möller also gave us some recommendations for the 'surrounding region'.

Our assessment for this camping ground is very positive. The facility makes a need and cared for impression. The sanitary facilities, even though not brand new, were always clean. We loved the lovely sandy beach with generous sunbathing lawns, the by far best swimming water and most of all the friendly climate. (It reminded us on our tours through France).
From here all sights of the Oberlausitz can easily be reached. The employees of the camping site are very knowledgeable contact person when you pan your excursions.

We dined very well and reasonably-priced next to the camping site in the "Waldschenke am Silbersee" at family Tannenhauer.

If you are looking for relaxation and tranquillity, love to hike, cycle, swim or just want to plan a lovely excursion, you will love the camping site "Silbersee" and would probably recommend it to your friends.
